Our ceremony will be held in Brooklyn Bridge Park, specifically on the pebble beach located in the park’s Main Street Section. This is in the Brooklyn neighborhood known as DUMBO (which stands for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass). The entrance to the park is directly across the street from the reception venue at One Main Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
As you approach the beach, you will see a number of
large, granite steps. These may be used for seating,
as only a very limited number of chairs are allowed
for those guests that require them. Don’t worry, we
will provide something to sit on so you won’t dirty your
dress-up duds!
Brooklyn Bridge Park is large, spanning most of Brooklyn’s
western shore; thus, Google Maps is particularly inept at
locating it for you. You may want to view the Brooklyn
Bridge Conservancy’s website for a more detailed park map:
DIRECTIONS
OPTION 1: WALK

Note: The map above depicts walking directions. Driving directions differ.
A = Marriott hotel, 333 Adams St.
B = Bubby’s Pie Co., 1 Main St. (across the street from park entrance)
Blue dots = Subway stops closest to the wedding location
OPTION 2: SUBWAY
Upon leaving the hotel (from the main Adams St. entrance), take a left. Then take the first available left into the pedestrian walkway (just before you reach Morton’s Steakhouse). Walk straight and you will see the subway entrance on your right--this is the Jay Street-MetroTech stop. Purchase a Metrocard from one of the vending machines (cash, debit, or credit accepted); each ride is $2.50 per person for a one-way trip. Multiple people can swipe the same card, so you may total up your cost and purchase a single card for the whole group. (For example, if you have a family of 4, and you plan to take the subway both to and from the wedding, you would require $5 per person round trip, making your total $5 x 4 = $20.)
Now that you have your card, swipe to get through the turnstiles and follow the signs for the Manhattan-bound A or C train. (Both the A and C will take you where you want to go, but make sure you are on the Manhattan side--do not go down the steps labeled “Lefferts Blvd-Coney Island!”) Board the train and take it only one stop, to High Street. Upon exiting the subway, walk northeast (toward the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge). You will eventually hit the street that borders the eastern side of the Plaza, Cadman Plaza East. This turns into Washington St. Stay on Washington for 3 blocks, then take a left at Water St. Walk 1 block, and take a right on Main St. Walk 1 block (to the end of Main St.), and the park entrance will be directly in front of you. This walk is about 7 minutes total.
You may also take the F train to the York Street stop. That walk is about 10 minutes. Please see the map above for subway stop locations.
OPTION 3: CAR SERVICE
Yellow cabs are not always readily available in Brooklyn, but car services are plentiful and their rates are comparable. The hotel’s front desk staff can assist you in calling for a car, or you can call them directly yourself (see the list of numbers below). Many companies can quote you their fare over the phone; tell them you’ll be going from the Marriott (333 Adams Street in Downtown Brooklyn) to Bubby’s Pie Co. (One Main Street at Plymouth St. in DUMBO). Expect to pay around $10 plus tip. Once you’ve called, most cars will be there within 10 minutes, but we advise giving yourself some extra time in case of unexpected delays.
OPTION 4: DRIVING
Driving is discouraged due to the high traffic volume, confusing route, and difficult parking! If you do prefer to drive, click the map below to be redirected to Google Maps. Using the “Get directions” tab, copy and paste “333 Adams St., Brooklyn, NY 11201” into field A and “1 Main Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201” into field B. Be especially vigilant when taking the left turn from Jay St. onto Sands St. Make sure not to take the on-ramp onto the Brooklyn Bridge!
PARKING
Parking can be difficult in DUMBO. Limited street parking is available, but plan on searching for a spot for some time. And bring some quarters! You’ll have to feed the meters ($2 per hour) until 7 pm.
You may also park in a lot or garage for the evening. The cost to park in most garages for up to 10 hrs is around $20.
